We are so grateful!  See a few of our Heavenly Cabins guest reviews from their Smoky Mountain trips.   Before the Lord allowed us to start our own cabin rental business in the Smokies, one of the first things I would do upon arriving to a rental cabin was to pick up the guest book and read ALL the comments from the prior guests !!

I do like your Glimpse of Heaven cabin because of the fantastic sunsets we have seen there on the private deck and it feels like home to us. You would not believe how comfortable we were the last two years in your cabin.  Debbie - my wife said I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, something that never happens.  We also noticed the new flat screen TV's and gas grill last year and are impressed that you are always making improvements for your guest.  We love Wears Valley and I would like to be able to retire there someday.

Believe it or not, the child that has always traveled with us to your cabins has now turned 18. This is our last family vacation before she moves to college.  We will be bringing our same Pug and Schnauzer we always do.  Thank you and we can't wait to get back to the mountains.

Cheryl, We stayed as long as we could last night and left with great reluctance. All the way home we talked about what a nice cabin you have and how much we hated to leave. We have stayed in some cabins in PF where we felt like we needed to take a bath after leaving. We left yours feeling refreshed and as if we had been bathed in beauty! Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful cabin.  Everything was just GREAT!!! Loved the porch, swing, decor etc... We sat on that porch and had praise and worship time for at least an hour. The game was good LOL Alabama kicked !!!!

The view was just amazing!!!! Our friends went on and on about the view, the cabin etc.... He is a builder and they were very impressed. Hope to return next year!!

The Best Place to Eat In Wears Valley Tennessee !



 The absolute best food in Wears Valley is just a few minutes from your Heavenly Cabin .  After a day of  sightseeing in the Smoky Mountains, if you are not up to cooking, you must meet Elvira!  Elvira’s Café  is located at  4143 Wears Valley Rd/Highway 321 just past Hickory Hollow Road. 

 

Elvira and her staff are not just super nice folks, they serve up some awesome fresh southern food with a Russian twist. You see, Elvira is from Siberia. She fell in love with Tennessee after coming to the area 13 years ago for a summer work program.  She later moved and opened the café in late 2012.

 

 

 

Eager to offer locally produced food, you’ll find Tennessee’s Swaggerty sausage, Applewood smoked bacon, Grainger tomatoes, fresh baked biscuits, crepes, incredibly fluffy buttermilk pancakes, hand breaded chicken tenders, homemade desserts and more.   

Elvira's has a great screened in porch for dining and unique rustic decorative touches !

Once again, it’s almost that time!  Lots of revving the engines, squealing the tires, blowers blowing, the smell of racing fuel – at least as much is allowed by the Pigeon Forge police ! All you car enthusiasts know what I’m talking about – it’s not just for rods and muscle cars anymore! You can find anything from a cool classic Thunderbird, Chevelle, Camaro, monster truck, rat rod all the way to a converted bus!

As I chatted with someone about the Rod Run, I tried to explain… even though the “Official” event dates are from Friday 4/11 till Sunday 4/13/2014 eager fans start pouring into Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville starting as early as Monday or Tuesday.

The actual show car competition, vendors and other entertainment cabn be found at the beautiful new $50 million  Leconte Center- Pigeon Forge Convention Center – offers a much larger indoor space with nearby free parking.  Also, just down the road – new to Pigeon Forge - The Island. But, you do not need to even enter the actual event to see every conceivable kind of flashy, fast hot rod you can imagine.

Cars and car buffs line the Pigeon Forge Parkway parking lots with “rare show vehicles” cool classics, antique cars or unique rods for sale or just for show! That’s just the beginning, every inch of ground seems to be covered with Chevrolets, Fords, GMCs, trucks, cars or some hybrid cross between.

Then by Thursday, the CRUISING begins, up and down the Parkway, slowing crawling traffic – so as not to miss any details !! The lane closest to the parking lots of course is the most “turtle” like…so if you insist on moving quicker – move over to the other outside lanes! You could just find a parking lot, park your car and walk so you can get up close and personal, chat with car owners, mingle with the muscle cars, see people you know from home! Just wear some comfy shoes.  

With several new back roads and a little insider info (just ask for our insider guide) – you can avoid a great deal of the traffic and grid lock.  IF you so desire! So, don’t hesitate coming to the Smoky Mountains during Rod Run, Shades of the Past, The Truck shows, etc..  If you are not a motohead, just plan to see the REAL wildlife in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park then… it will be just the calm opposite of Rod Run !  ENJOY !  It’s pretty awesome, if you get tired of cars, just locate the closest shopping mall and park ;-)
